The Garhammer story
The Garhammer Story – Freeride, Powder and Freestyle camps since 1975.
The Garhammer family has always been very passionate about snow, they
have made it their life and are always looking for new ways of having fun in the
snow wheter on skis or snowboard
It started out with the big success for the Garhammer family in competing in Freestyle
and Hot Dog contests back in the 70s. My father Ernst and my Uncle Fuzzy and their
siblings won pretty much everything they could win under taht period. On side of the
compeeting they traveled the world to explore the gretest mountains and to make ski
movies.
1975 – they arranged the first “International Garhammer Freestyle Camp” in Kaprun
Austria, with thousands of participants from all over the world. The Freestyle camps
evolved into Fuzzys “Soul Surfer Snowboard School” and Ernst Powder courses
“Garhammer Ski Tours”.
1980 – Ernst son Sebastian Garhammer was born and as the years followed,
Sebastian followed the successful Ski footsteps of his Family. He was one of
the pioneers in the freeskiing movement and counts to one of the best freeskiers
in the world. Since more then 10 years Sebastian has been travelling the world
looking for the best snow and mountains for his awarded ski movies and ski camps.
He organized his first freeski camp back in 2002.
